Position Overview:
Are you ready to help shape the future of media and grassroots journalism? Vngle is seeking a visionary Social Media Strategy Intern to join us at the forefront of connecting with communities across America and amplifying the voices of our growing network of grassroots creators. You will be at the heart of crafting and executing dynamic social media strategies that elevate Vngle’s national visibility and engage diverse audiences in ways that drive real impact.

As a key player in our social media team, you’ll help us create viral campaigns, develop innovative ways to engage with audiences, and expand our digital presence to support a new era of decentralized reporting. Your work will directly contribute to connecting everyday people, empowering grassroots creators, and shaping how America’s untold stories reach the world. Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Execute Social Media Content – Design and schedule 10+ pieces of engaging content per week across social platforms like Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok using Canva and our brand guidelines.
  • Build & Engage Our Creator Community – Actively interact with Vngle’s network of grassroots reporters, community organizations, and engaged citizens to foster collaboration and grow our reach.
  • Content Curation & Storytelling – Source, format, and distribute powerful stories from local creators to highlight underreported perspectives.
  • Email & Newsletter Engagement – Assist in crafting and distributing two email newsletters per month to a national subscriber list, featuring Vngle updates, grassroots reports, and partnership spotlights.
  • Competitive & Trend Research – Monitor emerging digital trends, analyze competitor strategies, and compile actionable insights into monthly reports.
  • Analytics & Performance Tracking – Use tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Meta Insights to track weekly engagement, identify growth opportunities, and optimize future content strategies.
  • Campaign Development Support – Contribute to national-scale media campaigns that increase visibility, engage civic institutions, and mobilize communities for real impact.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in content creation, digital storytelling, and social media engagement.
  • Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design/video editing tools.
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience or strong interest in grassroots organizing, journalism, civic engagement, or community-building initiatives.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for discovering and amplifying underrepresented voices.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
