Descriptive Summary
As a Process Engineer Intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to analyze, design, and improve manufacturing or operational processes. You will gain hands-on experience with process optimization, data analysis, and problem-solving while contributing to real-world projects that drive efficiency and innovation.
Essential Functions
- Assist in analyzing and optimizing existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of new processes or process modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to implement process changes.
- Document process workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
- Conduct research on new technologies and methodologies to improve processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting process issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports and presentations.

Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of process design, statistical analysis, and process modeling tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of CAD software for process design and layout.
- Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
