Descriptive Summary 

As a Process Engineer Intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to analyze, design, and improve manufacturing or operational processes. You will gain hands-on experience with process optimization, data analysis, and problem-solving while contributing to real-world projects that drive efficiency and innovation.
 

Essential Functions

  • Assist in analyzing and optimizing existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of new processes or process modifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to implement process changes.
  • Document process workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
  • Conduct research on new technologies and methodologies to improve processes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting process issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of process design, statistical analysis, and process modeling tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CAD software for process design and layout.
  • Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
