About The Role: Economics & Data Science Intern
We are seeking a driven and analytical Economics & Data Science Intern to join Swing Phi. This role is ideal for students passionate about capital markets, data-driven decision-making, and financial technology. You will work closely with our team to analyze economic trends, develop quantitative models, and contribute to the optimization of our fintech platform. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. While this is an unpaid internship, strong performance may lead to a long-term paid role.
You Will:
- Conduct economic and financial data analysis to inform product development and strategy
- Develop and refine models for market research and predictive analytics
- Work with large datasets, leveraging programming skills to automate workflows and extract insights
- Assist in optimizing algorithms related to trading signals, risk analysis, and portfolio management
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate economic models into the platform
- Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders
You Have:
- Completed at least two years toward a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL (Experience with JavaScript/React/Node.js is a plus)
- Experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
- Familiarity with financial modeling, econometrics, or machine learning
- Knowledge of capital markets and macroeconomic indicators
- Experience with Git, cloud computing (AWS, GCP), or containerization (Docker) is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate technical insights effectively
