Summer 2025 Intern, Banking Credit, and Operational Risk
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated data science intern to work closely with our team and apply machine learning techniques to enhance specific business processes. The intern will:
- Collect and analyze data, implement models, and ensure high quality outputs
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand business needs
- Present findings and recommendations to management
Suggested Education/Major: Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field graduating in Fall 2025 or later.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Demonstrated experience with relevant data science libraries
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Must have strong attention to detail, be highly motivated and eager to learn
- Demonstrated interested in banking supervision and policy
- Experience with R, and familiarity with cloud computing environments is a plus
Additional Notes
- Anticipated Work Environment: This internship can be completed fully remote OR in a hybrid capacity in Washington, DC.
- US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program Fall 2025 or later.
