Regional Project Management - Summer Intern

Cultivate, OneHope’s esteemed internship program, draws on over 30 years of expertise in research, program design, and outcome-based ministry. It provides a unique opportunity for students to discover their calling, enhance their faith and leadership skills, improve ministry practices, and connect with the global church. Our aim is to equip college students and recent graduates with essential training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in ministry work.

OneHope is looking for a Regional Project Management Intern to support the coordination and management of ministry projects within one of our geographical regions.This internship offers the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management while working in a culturally diverse environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cultural awareness, language proficiency, and a passion for making a meaningful impact in the global ministry.

As a Project Management Intern, you will assist in the planning, implementation, and execution of regional projects across Asia, while developing a deep understanding of how to manage resources, collaborate across cultures, and support global ministry initiatives. You will work closely with local teams and stakeholders to ensure project goals align with OneHope’s mission and are executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning Support: Assist in the development and planning of ministry projects in Asia, including timeline creation, resource coordination, and documentation.
  • Cultural Coordination: Help ensure that ministry projects are culturally relevant and aligned with the needs of the local communities by collaborating with local teams and partners.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with local ministry teams, external partners, and stakeholders to track progress, gather feedback, and assist with any project-related issues.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Support the creation of progress reports, project status updates, and meeting minutes to ensure that key project details are documented.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various departments (such as ministry teams, operations, and logistics) to ensure that all project needs are met on time and on budget.
  • Cultural Learning: Utilize your cultural knowledge to ensure projects respect local customs, values, and practices, and assist the team in overcoming cultural challenges.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for Ministry & Project Management: A strong interest in supporting the mission of OneHope through project management in a global context.
  • Cultural Sensitivity & Awareness: Knowledge and understanding of Asian cultures, with an ability to communicate effectively and respectfully in diverse environments.
  • Language Proficiency: While fluency in at least one Asian language (Mandarin, Hindi, Bahasa, or another) is not required, it is a valuable asset. The ability to assist with basic communication and translation tasks is a plus.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, track project timelines, and handle administrative tasks with attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with local teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to think critically and adapt to challenges that arise, offering proactive solutions to support the project’s success.
  • Team-Oriented Attitude: Comfortable working in a team environment, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic project management tools (Trello, Asana, etc.) is a plus.
