Summary:
Analyzes payment and charges discrepancies to determine issue, area of responsibility and assists in the development of an appropriate corrective action plan. Assists in all aspects of Revenue Cycle system support including performance improvement, development, documentation, testing, training and upgrades. Assists management in examining processes to improve workflow.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

 Maintains current knowledge and compliance with third party billing requirements.
 Maintains job responsibilities associated with billing and accounts receivable follow-up with assigned financial classes.
 Assists departmental managers in auditing measures to increase productivity within the department.
 Assists with revenue cycle operations as determined by upper management.
 Develop and maintain a policies and procedures manual for all positions within Patient Financial Services billing department.
 Work directly with the PFS Manager in pulling information and analyzing accounts for monthly employee audits.


Essential Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Education, and Training Requirements):

 Educational Background: Enrolled in a business administration, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, or related field. 
 Basic knowledge of healthcare systems

 Technical proficiency 
 Confidentiality and Ethics
 Physical Demands:
 Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time)
 Able to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 10 pounds occasionally
 Able to sit for the majority of the time, but may involve brief periods of time involving walking or standing.
 Able to use keyboard frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time)
