Business Entrepreneur Intern

AMPed Learning Centers is searching for a business-minded summer intern wanting experience in small business expansion. This unpaid internship will provide the candidate with fantastic experience expanding a microschool (AMPed Hybrid Academy in Farmington Hills, MI) and an educational play space (AMPed Learning Center in Troy, MI). This role will work closely with the founders and is a cross-functional role encompassing operations, marketing, and business development.

No prior experience required, candidate must have a strong desire to learn and an interest in educational services for toddlers through middle school. This position is hybrid and the hours are flexible. Please note this internship is unpaid. Upon successful completion of this internship, we will provide reference letters and any required paperwork for school credit.

About AMPed Hybrid Academy

AMPed Hybrid Academy is a private, secular K-8th grade microschool located in Farmington Hills, MI. AMPed follows a fully project-based learning curriculum and the mixed-age classes are capped at 12 students per class. A 1:6 staff to student ratio is maintained. Every student receives a personalized education plan (PEP) that provides a customized learning path for them. Classrooms are warm and inviting, with a variety of seating options and a comfortable feel. The dedicated sensory room is available to students to use whenever they need to help them regulate and relax.

AMPed Learning Center brings a unique, educational and fun play space for kids from infants through 7 years of age or older! Offering open play, early childhood programming with co-working for parents, birthday parties and more, AMPed Learning Center is a place for families.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Daily Operations: Support the founders in managing day-to-day activities at both the AMPed Hybrid Academy and the AMPed Learning Center.
  • Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and post engaging content across various social media platforms to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to attract new students and families.
  • Content Creation: Develop promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and newsletters to highlight the programs and events at both centers.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community events and networking opportunities to promote the centers and build partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Program Development: Contribute ideas and assist in the creation of new programs and services to enhance the educational offerings and play experiences.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Provide feedback on processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
  • Event Planning: Assist in organizing and executing events such as open houses, workshops, and community gatherings.
