About DivInc:

DivInc is a leading accelerator dedicated to empowering underrepresented entrepreneurs. Through programs like the DivInc x NBA Foundation & Blackstone LaunchPad Internship Program, we connect founders with talented interns to support startup growth, while equipping students with real-world startup experience.

Role Overview:

The Content Curation & Strategy Intern will play a vital role in shaping, curating, and strategically positioning content that highlights the internship experience, founder-intern collaboration, and key milestones from June to August. This is not just about posting content — this is about understanding why we post, who we’re reaching, and how each piece contributes to DivInc’s larger goals of visibility, community engagement, and impact storytelling.

The intern will work closely with the Programs and Marketing teams to ensure the content supports strategic messaging goals across platforms, aligns with DivInc’s brand voice, and maximizes engagement with target audiences: founders, funders, future interns, and the broader startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy Execution

  • Collaborate with the team to define the narrative arc for summer social media — what stories do we want to tell and why?
  • Ensure content aligns with DivInc’s broader strategic messaging goals around founder support, diversity in tech, workforce development, and community impact.
  • Use data from past campaigns and social insights to recommend content formats, posting times, and platform choices that optimize visibility and engagement.
  • Think critically about making content informative and actionable — encouraging people to follow, apply, sponsor, or otherwise engage with DivInc’s work.

Content Creation

  • Draft and curate content (captions, graphics, videos) that captures:
    • Intern first days, key projects, and workshop experiences.
    • Founder reflections on working with interns.
    • Mentorship moments and collaborative wins.
  • Implementing edits & feedback
  • Tailor content for each platform and audience (LinkedIn for professional visibility, Instagram for student engagement, Facebook for broader community reach).
  • Ensure consistent branding across all assets and maintain a content library for easy future access.

Intern & Founder Storytelling

  • Conduct short interviews with interns and founders to capture authentic quotes, testimonials, and success stories.
  • Develop both long-form (blog recaps) and short-form (social posts & reels) content that brings these stories to life.
  • Strategize how to highlight individual voices while still tying everything back to DivInc’s overall program impact.
  • Attend and capture content from key events, including intern workshops and mentorship sessions.
  • Work in collaboration with the director of events and marketing
  • Draft recap content that emphasizes key takeaways, facilitator insights, and participant reactions.

Performance Review & Recommendations

  • Review weekly content performance with the team — what’s working and why?
  • Make data-driven recommendations to improve future posts, ensuring we maximize visibility for founders, interns, and partners.
  • Document successful strategies for future internship program marketing.

Wrap-Up & Legacy Content

  • Help design final recap content showcasing intern graduation, program highlights, and long-term impact.
  • Create evergreen assets (testimonial graphics, quote libraries, highlight reels) that DivInc can use for future recruitment and partner pitches.

Qualifications:

  • Strong storytelling and writing skills, with an ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with content strategy principles — understanding that every post serves a purpose in the broader communication plan.
  • Experience with social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) and social media planning tools.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Google Drive, Google Analytics & Notion
  • Highly organized and able to manage content calendars and approval workflows.
  • Comfortable interviewing program participants to gather authentic content.
  • Passion for community building, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
  • Bonus: Experience reviewing social analytics and using them to guide content choices.
