DESCRIPTION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                             

  • Process & update red-line prints
  • Assist engineers with the management and designs of programs as required.
  • Acquire knowledge of various department operations, functions, responsibilities, and work flow.
  • Assist in current process analysis by running, brainstorming for new ideals, implementing cost reduction, ergonomic improvements, parts flow and cycle time improvements.
  • Utilize Plan, Do, Check, Action project format to track and monitor improvements.
  • Assist in creating and tracking trend improvements utilizing Microsoft tools (excel,etc.).
  • Assist with the functional testing of components as required and acquire knowledge as to the product’s end use.
  • Analyze current designs and concepts
  • Work with manufacturing engineer to develop assembly procedures, tools and measurements systems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive, and positive. Having a passion for exceptional customer service and support is a must. Being sensitive to the unpredictable demands and uncertainties associated with customer service is a requisite to delivering superior results and exceeding the expectations of very demanding customers.

EDUCATION

Candidate must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year degree program at an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering.  Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
