Optical Engineering Intern

Job Summary

In this role, you will work as part of a team developing a breakthrough medical device that uses novel tissue imaging technologies for intra-operative tissue pathology. You will work closely with Triple Ring Technologies’ scientists and engineers in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in assembling optical subassemblies
  • Design and assemble test fixtures for the optical subassemblies
  • Perform verification testing of optical subassemblies using test fixtures
  • Document and report key experimental results, test plans, and design choices

 

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Working towards Bachelor’s (Junior or higher), Master’s, or Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Collaborative spirit with keen attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to operate independently or semi-independently
  • Hands-on experience with optical systems such as light sources, lasers, mirrors, and lenses
  • Nice to have: experience in CAD modeling

 

The hourly salary range for jobs which are performed in US, California is $30.00 to $35.00. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and work location.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which requires working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and 1-day of your choice. In certain circumstances the hybrid work model may change to accommodate business needs.
