Alden is building AI-powered agents to revolutionize home care, improving coordination between caregivers, agencies, and families. Our mission is to streamline communication and scheduling to ensure patients receive the best possible care. As a Software Engineer Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and automation technologies, contribute to real-world applications, and gain hands-on experience in full-stack development. You’ll collaborate closely with our CTO, shaping the future of AI-driven healthcare solutions.

Intern Job Responsibilities

- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Alden’s AI-driven home care platform and technical architecture.
- Work on prompt engineering for AI-powered scheduling and communication agents, integrating with Twilio for SMS and voice interactions.
- Assist in developing and optimizing backend services using Express (TypeScript), PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Contribute to frontend development using React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine user experience and workflow automation.
- Assist in writing and maintaining technical documentation.

Intern Qualifications/Skills

Required experience:
- Knowledge of TypeScript or Python.
- Strong interest in AI, automation, and healthcare technology.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-moving environment.

Optional experience (a plus but not required):
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, and frontend development.
- Understanding of databases.
- Experience working with REST APIs and backend frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
