Emotivo Health is an early stage startup focused on making mental health treatment more equitable by measuring rapport and social risk factors through analysis of conversations with patients.Your role can range from improving the data used in training our models, to measuring the accuracy and bias, to improving computational performance.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop Machine Learning systems, models
Run data analysis to identify issues in data distribution that could affect model performance in real-world situations
Evaluate the impact of features, hyperparameters, and algorithms on model performance
Clean, transform, and convert data sources for ingestion into training
Implement methods to accelerate data collection methods with software engineering best practices
Communicate regularly with other team members to identify blockers, next steps
Manage time effectively around scheduled online meetings

Qualifications:
Work experience or projects or coursework in Machine Learning systems and methods
Interest in improving mental health treatment and access
Fluent in Python and English
Experience with a version control system (git, svn, hg)
Detailed and precise in written technical communication
Proactive and self-sufficient in device and development environment setup
Have stable internet connection and own device
Graduate or graduate student has related major or degree (Computer Science, Applied Math, etc.)
Undergraduate student must be junior or senior in related major
React.js, Scala, and/or NLP experience a plus
Fluent in another spoken language a plus
