Backend Software Developer

Join our highly focused team to make a real impact on the development of state of the art AI technology for industries like aerospace, automotive, energy, and defense. You’ll be building scalable automation systems to empower systems engineers to design numerous products that impact everyone’s lives. We’re an ambitious early stage startup pushing the boundaries of AI technology to create new digital engineering capabilities.

We’re looking for highly motivated individuals who enjoy learning new development skills and like to take initiative. You’ll be working with our Python backend to expand our business logic to simulate system architectures and expand the functionality of our AI agent system.

Intern Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners to create requirements
- Work closely with product management and internal or external partners, to understand use cases and requirements, and contribute to the technical roadmaps of libraries
- Contribute to Python libraries to extend the functionality of AI agents and simulations
- Write effective, maintainable, and well-tested code for production use
- Prototype integrations of developed APIs into targeted frameworks

Intern Qualifications/Skills
- Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, mathematics, or relevant engineering field.
- Strong Python programming skills
- Understanding of developing API’s
- Good communication: communicates frequently, clearly, and transparently
- Experience with databases such as PostGres, MongoDB, or Neo4j. 
- Willing to learn new tools
- Preference for candidates who have experience with AI and prompt engineering.
