We are looking for a talented Inventory Intern that will be able to apply coursework concepts to real-world situations working alongside professional, experienced colleagues while also gaining valuable experience working for a Global Manufacturing and Engineering Company. You will support administrative tasks related to the inventory and supply of parts in the Manufacturing Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the process to receive stock manufactured parts in the ERP system.
  • Learn to manage the incoming purchased and manufactured parts.
  • Support current and future Customer orders to meet demand.
  • Learn to perform daily cycle counts.
  • Support co-workers at the crib window as needed.
  • Learn to review customer orders in build.
  • Follow the process to supply parts to assembly as they become available.
  • Notify the Supervisor of urgently needed parts not available in inventory.
  • Support the return process for parts that are no longer required.
  • Use a Windows based computer system to access information, enter measurement data, store, and retrieve files from the network, etc.
  • Assists with a variety of special projects as needed.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Qualifications:

  • Officially enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in Mechanical, Software or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • High School Diploma.

  • Ability to identify new and unique ideas to make connections among previously unrelated notions; to participate in brainstorming sessions.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to speak verbally and read in English

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
