Harmonyze is a fast-growing AI tech startup based in NYC with over $2M in funding. We specialize in unlocking hidden insights from leading franchise brands' data to drive stronger franchisee outcomes. As our Machine Learning Intern, you’ll work directly with our CTO to develop cutting-edge AI models that power actionable intelligence for franchisees and operations leaders. Intern Job Responsibilities
Support ML Model Development: Work closely with the CTO and engineering team to research, prototype, and fine-tune machine learning models that generate actionable insights for franchise networks.
Data Analysis & Preparation: Clean, organize, and analyze large datasets using Python, ensuring data quality and readiness for AI/ML applications.
Model Evaluation & Optimization: Conduct experiments to benchmark model performance, implement optimizations, and use feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, and UX) to integrate ML solutions into our software platform.
Research & Documentation: Stay current with latest ML frameworks, tools, and techniques; create clear documentation of your processes, findings, and recommendations.
Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and validation of AI features, helping identify and troubleshoot performance issues and data discrepancies.

Intern Qualifications/Skills
Strong Interest in AI/ML: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with a demonstrated passion for machine learning.
Programming Expertise: Proficient in Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn) or other relevant ML libraries/frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with large datasets, using statistical methods and data analysis techniques to uncover trends.
Problem-Solving Skills: Able to break down complex technical challenges and propose creative, efficient solutions.
Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to articulate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Team-Oriented & Self-Motivated: Ready to take initiative while being open to feedback and contributing to a fast-paced startup environment.

Work Location: This internship is based on-site at our NYC office, with potential flexibility for hybrid arrangements.
Duration: Full-time summer internship with the opportunity for a full-time role.
