Job Summary

This position supports the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency’s TEMPO security and database administrator and other databases as assigned. The position is responsible for master file process management and is the primary contact and mentor for the master file staff. This position supports the implementation of security groups, agency interest creation, and management of agency data as a backup to the TEMPO administrator. This position ensures consistency among master file processes with programs, supports online service staff, assists with training new staff on data and security procedures, and conducts control audits to ensure data quality is maintained.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of advanced administrative data management/analysis experience; OR

One (1) year of professional data management/analysis experience; OR

A Bachelor’s degree in data management, information systems, statistics, computer science, mathematics or closely related field 

AND

Experience with computers and software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook or similar applications).

Effective oral communication, written communication, interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will not sponsor applicants for work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with environmental data management platforms (i.e. TEMPO).

Knowledge of how online services interact with TEMPO to ensure proper data quality is maintained. 

Working knowledge of statutes, regulations, and rules pertaining to agency programs and data practices.

Ability to recognize problems and present them accurately for resolution.

Strong customer service and teamwork skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Good organization and attention to detail.
