The Lockton Learners Internship program is a fully in-person, semester-long, paid internship program. The program provides students with essential skills needed to thrive in their chosen careers. Students experience Lockton's culture, participate in personal and professional development sessions, network with Lockton Associates, and witness the impact Lockton has on its clients and communities. This program sets students up for success in their future careers and in life!

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A LOCKTON LEARNER INTERN?

Personal & Professional Development

Participate in personal and professional development sessions, which are designed to equip you with the tools, skills, and confidence to thrive in your career and beyond. We are committed to your growth at Lockton - both as an individual and as a professional.

Mentorship

Each Lockton Learner will be given a mentor. Your mentor will share insights from their career journey and provide you with valuable advice. You will have the chance to ask questions, seek guidance, and build a meaningful, long-lasting connection.

Networking

Learn how to build and leverage a strong professional network through trainings focused on networking etiquette and optimizing your resume and LinkedIn. You will experience Lockton's supportive culture through networking opportunities and be empowered to create lasting connections!

Career Exploration

Dive into various career paths and industries through guests speakers, site visit, Lockton leadership panels, and job shadowing. You will broaden your perspective, ignite new interests, and discover career possibilities that align with your passions and strengths!

 

REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS

  • Must be a second- or third-year full-time college student
  • 3.0 or higher college GPA
  • Ability to work minimum of 12 hours per week with 8 of those hours on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1pm - 5pm
  • Provide own transportation to our office in Kansas City
  • Interest in business, finance, or other preferred area

 

TIMING

This program runs from September 2025 - December 2025.

 

LOCATION

This internship will take place at our Lockton headquarters in Kansas City, located on the Country Club Plaza.
