Job Title: Accounting Intern Status Non-Exempt
Department: Finance
Reports To: Accounting Manager
Primary Purpose of the JOB:
Assists the Accounting department in day-to-day operations.
Essential DUTIES:
- Filing
- Data entry
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts (daily and monthly)
- Post investment security payments
- Create and maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers while maintaining timely and prompt daily attendance
Other DUTIES:
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience/SKILLS:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously
- General understanding of accounting
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with other departments
Required EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma
- Working towards degree in Accounting
Working CONDITIONS:
- Office environment with little exposure to physical hazards or conditions
- Ability to enter data into a computer and work with computer programs: Microsoft Word and Excel
