AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Awards Intern
AAAS has an exciting opportunity for a paid summer internship within our Office of Public Affairs!
The international AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Awards honor professional journalists for distinguished reporting on the sciences, engineering, and mathematics. Before award submissions are reviewed by scientist experts and journalist judges, our program withdraws entries that do not qualify for the contest or compete at the program’s standard. In 2024 we received 1,444 entries from 59 different countries. We are seeking an intern to join us for eleven weeks to assist with reviewing the eligibility of entries and other tasks. These include soliciting entries from specific journalists, answering general submission inquiries and compiling a spreadsheet on the total number of entries and their countries of origin. This position will work closely with the Senior Program Associate and Program Director.
