Job Description Summary

Analyzes complex business problems and issues related to supply chain management using various data sources and research the most effective methods and latest technology to provide insight to decision-makers. This role will focus on optimizing data collection and reporting, identifying trends, and visualizing data supporting Varian’s Supply Chain Management team. It requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and creativity to identify issues and develop solutions that ensure data integrity and transform data into actionable insights.

 

  • Conducts data analyses using various methods and tools to extract information as basis for decision making.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses to answer questions and deliver insights on the root causes of issues and make recommendations on how to best monitor and solve them.
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations utilizing Power BI.
  • Research the best approaches for data analysis and the latest technology.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, leaders & IT to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to identify trends and patterns and make recommendations based on insights gained from data.
