
Pharmaceuticals Research and Development Ph.D. Co-Op
Salary Range: $20-30/hour
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
The intern will have hands-on training and experience in a research and development laboratory setting. They will have the opportunity to learn one analytical technique in detail and support at least one project specific study.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow general instructions and provides assistance for laboratory experiments and Product Development department projects. -
- Accurately document experimental procedures, test results, and observations to comply with corporate and cGMP standards. -
- Communicates results and information concerning assignments through documentation which are technically accurate, scientifically integral, and understandable.
- Foster a collaborative work environment with colleagues while ensuring safe and organized workspace for developmental activities.
- Manage and support the inventory of laboratory glassware and chemicals to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Scan and organize electronic and hardcopy files of relevant analytical development documents within the Product Development department.
Community Outreach Project:
- Interns will be put into groups and be responsible for finding a local nonprofit organization to put together a community service day with.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university program; pursuing a related science field degree;
- Be classified as a Ph.D. student
- Must be planning to return to school at the end of his/her break
- Must commit to 10 weeks of internship
