IT Governance Intern
Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Intern to join our IT – Systems and Governance team! The IT Governance Intern will be involved with a project that will revolutionize our IT operations by automating problem analysis and documentation, significantly boosting accuracy and response times. The role will assist with reducing costs associated with IT incidents and downtime by identifying and resolving recurring issues. Additionally, the Intern will provide insights into root causes of IT problems, leading to more effective problem management and improved IT service stability.
*** This position reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule. ***
What You’ll Do
Essential Functions
- Documentation and Systems Management: Oversee the improvement and maintenance of all documentation to ensure they are current and accurate
- Automation Development: Assist in developing and implementing automation scripts and tools to streamline problem analysis and security documentation
- Problem Analysis and Management: Analyze recurring IT incidents to identify root causes and work on resolving them, while also supporting internal IT projects and initiatives
- Review Process: Review of overall of established problem initiatives and recommendations for long-term solutions
What You’ll Need
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience with Confluence, Copilot, and Business Intelligence systems
- Ability to commit to a full-time work schedule (40 hours per week)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields at an accredited College or University
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a 3.0 or higher-grade point average
