Communications Intern (Summer 2025)

The Communications Intern will support the day-to-day strategic communication work of Skanska’s USA Building-focused communication team. The Communication Intern will have the opportunity to develop external communications materials, in addition to developing national and regional internal communications materials to help facilitate information sharing, partnership and collaboration across teams and geographies. The communications intern may focus on developing materials like media pitches, press releases, thought leadership pieces, content for Skanska owned channels, etc. Our intern will help coordinate and participate in events with community partners, and even visit local construction project sites. Communications Intern Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate pursuing a degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism or similar from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • 1+ years working as part of a team and working independently
  • Exposure to digital and traditional media
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud;
  • Experience coordinating/creating/editing video is a plus
