
Business Development Intern
We’re seeking a Business Development Intern eager to gain real-world experience in sales and marketing. You’ll play a crucial role in identifying prospective clients and scheduling “discovery calls” between qualified leads and our executive team. In addition to the hands-on experience, you’ll earn commission for deals that close from your leads.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Prospecting & Outreach
Research and identify field/home service businesses (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, cleaning) that could benefit from AI automation.
Initiate contact via phone calls, emails, and social media.
Relationship Building
Engage in consultative conversations to understand a prospect’s pain points.
Communicate the value of ServiceAgent’s AI solutions.
Appointment Setting
Qualify potential customers and schedule discovery meetings with our executive team.
Efficiently handle scheduling, ensuring smooth hand-offs.
Collaboration & Follow-Up
Work closely with the executive team to refine outreach strategies.
Conduct follow-ups with leads to maintain engagement and drive deal closure.
Performance Tracking
Track leads, calls, and conversion rates using our CRM system.
Provide weekly updates on outreach progress.
Learning Objectives

Qualifications
Currently Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred).
Strong Communication Skills: Comfortable speaking on the phone and writing clear, concise emails.
Self-Starter: Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet outreach goals.
Interest in Technology & AI: Eager to learn how AI impacts modern businesses.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate, seek guidance, and iterate based on feedback.
Compensation
Commission Opportunity: In addition to hands-on experience, you’ll receive a commission for each deal that closes from the leads you bring in.
Flexible to discuss possible stipend or base pay if needed (depending on internship requirements).
Time Commitment & Format
