# Voice Up Campus Leader

## Position Overview
The Voice Up Campus Leader will pioneer the establishment of a Voice Up Collaborative chapter on their local campus and surrounding community. This visionary role requires a purpose-driven individual who can unite diverse student voices, foster meaningful connections, and facilitate social impact initiatives that embody the core principles of Voice Up. As a Campus Leader, you will be the cornerstone of a growing national movement designed to connect people to their purpose through collaborative action and meaningful engagement.

This is a 100% remote, 100% flexible position that works on your time and your schedule. The role is available as an academic credit opportunity, volunteer position, or with potential funding through a sponsor-provided stipend of $500-$750 per month (minimum 3-month commitment, renewable).

**Three Ways to Participate:**

All team members have the opportunity to progress towards a paid stipend as their ideas are refined and developed including the option to progress to the level of independent contactor for Voice Up sponsored for a period of 6 months to 12 months paid an hourly rate of $20 to $30 for a maximum of 15 hours per week per academic semester.

2. **Academic Credit:** Earn credit at your institution while leading real-world change. We'll work with your school's specific requirements to ensure the experience meets academic guidelines.

3. **Paid Fellowship:** Selected candidates with strong social impact project proposals may receive stipends of $500-$750 monthly. These opportunities are secured case-by-case through partnerships between Voice Up and potential sponsors. Requires commitment to a 3-4 month specific project.

## Primary Responsibilities

### Chapter Development
* Establish and grow a Voice Up Collaborative chapter from the ground up on your campus
* Recruit and onboard diverse student members committed to the Voice Up principles
* Develop a chapter structure that fosters inclusivity, accountability, and purpose
* Create a sustainable model for chapter continuity and leadership succession
* Coordinate the submission of at least 3 articles per quarter for consideration in the Make The Difference publication

### Program Implementation
* Organize and facilitate weekly Saturday sessions focused on sharing social impact project ideas and peer learning
* Establish and oversee the weekly peer check-in system, ensuring all members connect with a fellow member for 10-15 minutes each week
* Lead the development of quarterly social impact projects (3-month duration) or monthly social impact incubators (1-month duration)
* Manage the chapter's impact fund, ensuring transparent allocation of resources
* Connect chapter initiatives to the broader Voice Up movement across U.S. campuses
* Plan and execute at least one on-campus Social Impact Expo per year to showcase chapter initiatives
* For chapters with 50+ members: facilitate innovation sessions to develop proposals for creative connection across Voice Up's network of over 355 cities

### Community Engagement
* Build partnerships with campus departments, student organizations, and local community groups
* Facilitate purpose discovery workshops and conversations for chapter members
* Organize community gatherings that showcase chapter initiatives and invite broader participation
* Document and share chapter stories and impact through various media channels

### Administrative Leadership
* Maintain accurate records of member participation and meeting attendance
* Manage the collection and distribution of monthly impact fees
* Create regular reports on chapter activities, achievements, and challenges
* Participate in national Voice Up Campus Leader development opportunities

## Qualifications
* Current undergraduate or graduate student
* Demonstrated leadership experience in campus or community organizations
* Strong commitment to the five core principles of Voice Up
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate peers toward collective action
* Creative problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness
* Experience in project management and program development preferred
* Passion for social impact and purpose-driven initiatives

## Chapter Structure Requirements
* Meeting commitments:
 * One weekly Saturday session (1 hour) focused on sharing social impact project ideas and peer learning
 * Weekly 10-15 minute peer check-ins where each member connects with another member to share ideas and support
 * Minimum 4 monthly meetings total (weekends, virtual or in-person)
 * Members must attend at least 2 of 4 monthly meetings to remain active
* $5 monthly impact fee per member ($4 directed to social impact funding, $1 for operational costs)
* Each chapter must complete either:
 * One 3-month social impact project per quarter, OR
 * One 1-month social impact incubator per month
* Each chapter must submit at least 3 articles quarterly for consideration in the Make The Difference publication
* Each chapter must host one annual on-campus Social Impact Expo
* Chapters that reach 50 members unlock the ability to propose innovations for creative connection across Voice Up's network of over 355 cities

## Application Process

3. Complete a brief purpose discovery assessment
4. Participate in an interview with Voice Up leadership team
5. Optional: Submit a proposal identifying potential campus or community sponsors who might fund a stipend for your position

## Time Commitment
* 5-10 hours per week, including:
 * Weekly Saturday session preparation and facilitation (1 hour)
 * Coordinating and participating in weekly peer check-ins (10-15 minutes)
 * Administrative responsibilities
 * Community outreach and member engagement
 * Project development and implementation
 * Content creation for Make The Difference publication
