Job Description:

SK Siltron CSS has a unique opportunity at our Bay City, MI site for a EHS Intern for the summer of 2025. 

 

Project Summary:

Throughout the time at SK Siltron CSS, the intern will complete a project that will provide them with new knowledge and expertise, as well as helping them to reach CSS goals and objectives. The EHS Intern will assist in performing 200+ ergonomic assessments and will hold a key role in the completion of these assessments.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing ergonomic assessments to support the new ergo program that will be implemented in 2025
  • Enter data and create reports
  • Evaluate scores to ensure proper mitigations of ergonomic hazards by looking at data and trends
  • Work with IH Specialist to implement any needed ergo improvements and complete any follow evaluations
  • Help with front desk coverage

 

Physical Requirements: 

S-Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • Any student in A.S or B.S program relating to Environmental, Health and Safety, Emergency Response, or Security (i.e. Health and Safety, Environmental science, Environmental engineering, Criminal Justice, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with MS office.
