We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation sports tech platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a modern tech stack, gain hands-on experience with scalable applications, and collaborate with experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining TORQ Sports' Flutter mobile application.
- Work on backend services using Node.js, integrating APIs and optimizing performance.
- Collaborate on database management using PostgreSQL, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS, leveraging cloud services for scalability.
- Work with Docker and containerized environments to streamline development and deployment.
- Support DevOps efforts, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Participate in agile development, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups.
Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Flutter and mobile app development.
- Familiarity with Node.js for backend development.
- Understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and database optimization.
- Basic experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Exposure to DevOps concepts like CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for scalable, high-performance applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice-to-Have:
- Previous internship or personal projects showcasing Flutter and backend work.
- Experience with GraphQL or RESTful API development.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks for frontend and backend applications.
