Summer Intern Web Application Developer

Overview:

The purpose of this role is to build a web application with models for slotting ideal location types for CPG warehouses based on the forecast and historical order data pulled from WMS.

 

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Discuss and validate business requirements with SME
  • Build solution design, software development and unit testing, documentation for the project
  • Analyze the incoming data and build models based on that
  • Come up with innovative ideas to achieve the expected results in an efficient manner
  • Take ownership of the task and communicate periodically on the progress

Key Results Areas:

  • Create, review solution design with the SMEs
  • Build models and charts
  • Create detailed documentation (user manual) for the application

 

Requirements:

The candidate should 

  • Understand supply chain, inventory management concepts and terminologies
  • Show strong time management and communication skills
  • Possess strong technical and analytical skills
  • Should be able to get job done with no technical guidance
  • Have ability to utilize Microsoft products e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Have Proficiency in programming languages – CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Java, Angular, Spring boot, API, Oracle DB, Python, etc.
  • Analytical tools like Power Bi are nice to have

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.

The hourly wage for this position is $20.00.
