Summer Intern Web Application Developer
Overview:
The purpose of this role is to build a web application with models for slotting ideal location types for CPG warehouses based on the forecast and historical order data pulled from WMS.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Discuss and validate business requirements with SME
- Build solution design, software development and unit testing, documentation for the project
- Analyze the incoming data and build models based on that
- Come up with innovative ideas to achieve the expected results in an efficient manner
- Take ownership of the task and communicate periodically on the progress
Key Results Areas:
- Create, review solution design with the SMEs
- Build models and charts
- Create detailed documentation (user manual) for the application
Requirements:
The candidate should
- Understand supply chain, inventory management concepts and terminologies
- Show strong time management and communication skills
- Possess strong technical and analytical skills
- Should be able to get job done with no technical guidance
- Have ability to utilize Microsoft products e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Have Proficiency in programming languages – CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Java, Angular, Spring boot, API, Oracle DB, Python, etc.
- Analytical tools like Power Bi are nice to have
Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.
The hourly wage for this position is $20.00.
