
Engineering Intern

Resonetics is a leader in micro-manufacturing for life sciences, providing cutting-edge solutions in precision laser processing, advanced automation, and high-tech engineering. We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This internship runs from approximately from May - August of 2025.
Position Overview:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to support engineering initiatives by assisting with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. The role emphasizes hands-on work, providing exposure to equipment assembly, fabrication, documentation updates, and process control enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering team in designing tooling for manufacturing processes.
- Must be hands-on and able to design, build, trouble shoot and improve manufacturing tooling.
- Assist in planned and unplanned maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation.
- Support process control improvements by collecting and analyzing data.
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to equipment performance reporting.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be proficient with MS Office and CAD solid modelling (preferably SolidWorks)
- Ability to use basic hand tools and multimeter for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to apply principles of:
- Materials Science (Nitinol experience is a plus)
- Mechanics
- Electrical systems
- Process control theory
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated compensation is $20.00 per hour.
