FORVIA is looking for a Year-Round Program & Acquisition Intern for our Auburn Hills location.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Overall responsibilities and duties:
The Program Manager and acquisition intern will assist the Programs and Acquisitions NAO FAS Vice president to successfully manage KPIs for new program(s) in development and order intake for acquisitions. This role assists in following the appropriate management system(s), which help ensure program milestones are met, monitor the budget and programs in acquisition.
The main missions of the role are:
- Monitor critical KPIs for the division in order intake, dashboard and development programs
- Interact with Core Team members and other functions to support program goals.
- Build the project plan in order to track important milestones and budget information
- Support tracking the programs activities, set up and follow program master schedule, inform about deviations and propose action plans
- Support Program Manager(s) in the following areas:
- Maintenance of all KPIs
- Support with reporting at a group level
- Gain knowledge of Risk/opportunity analyses by supporting the development and implementation of appropriate action plans
- Support Acquisition Program Managers
- Manage program documentation
- Contribute to meeting preparation with clients on the economic, timing and technical fields
- Understand business systems and assists in applying them to the program(s)
- Liaise necessary samples and prototypes to secure product validation (between plant, engineering, purchasing, prototype team)
- Coordinate and secure purchase orders for pre-series material availability in time and keep correct levels of inventory
- Track D&D cost and revenues including, Engineering changes for a quick turnaround assessment and quote to customers (ensure CRs are prioritized by the team and no more than 15+ days in the system)
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum education level: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
Experience:
- Prior project oriented experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in office computer software programs (Microsoft project preferred)
- International mind set
- Minimum bi-lingual (English required)
- Strong relationship skills (tenacity, tact and diplomacy)
- Sense of urgency and manage escalation process
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
