IT Internship

Uniform Color provides a meaningful opportunity for university students to accomplish real world projects in a professional environment. Within our internship program, you'll work closely with your manager to complete a relevant, value-added project and present your work at the end of your internship. This is a project-based internship. 

IT Projects:

  • Finalize machine refresh process. Machines that are at the end of life need to be retrieved and swapped with a new device. Log machines, file transfers and update inventory in ticket system. 
  • Work on Windows 11 and MS Office 2024 rollout across the company. Schedule times with the end user to kick off updates on their machines and follow up to make sure there aren't any issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will report to, and interact with, different levels of the organization.
  • Recommend and implement changes to product or process that may help to improve cost, delivery, and/or quality for the customer.
  • Gather data to determine feasibility of product proposal or project implementation.
  • Apply problem solving methodology to find root causes and implement changes.
  • Prepare and deliver a presentation detailing work and providing recommendations.
  • Follow UC Quality System-approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed.
  • Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience, Training, and Skills:       

  • Ability to present and gain support on ideas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred Education: Currently in process of four-year degree in IT related majors.
