# Student Recruiter and Mentor Intern - Mental Health Advocacy & Purpose-Driven Connections

## Position Overview
The Student Recruiter and Mentor leads mental health advocacy initiatives within the Titan of Life Project, ensuring all participants experience supportive, caring, and purpose-centered environments. This role focuses on identifying applicants who demonstrate commitment to mental health awareness while embodying servant leadership principles, creating an atmosphere where mental wellbeing is integrated with purpose-driven development.

## Mental Health Advocacy Priority
This position is centered on promoting mental health awareness and support through:

- Creating stigma-free environments where participants feel safe discussing mental health challenges
- Developing purpose-specific mental health resources that connect to personal meaning
- Implementing proactive mental wellness strategies rather than only crisis response
- Training participants to recognize early warning signs of mental health struggles
- Building mental health literacy among all program participants and stakeholders

## Key Responsibilities

### Mental Health-Focused Recruitment
- Conduct same-day interviews that assess applicants' attitudes toward mental health
- Create application materials that highlight the program's mental health mission
- Identify candidates who demonstrate empathy and destigmatizing approaches to mental health
- Prioritize recruiting individuals with personal commitment to mental health advocacy

### Mental Health Education & Purpose Connection
- Develop and implement age-appropriate mental health education connected to finding purpose
- Design activities that build mental health literacy through purpose-driven frameworks
- Create safe spaces for discussions about mental challenges and how purpose can provide resilience
- Integrate mental health concepts into leadership development activities

### Purpose-Driven Mental Health Practices
- Implement protocols that prioritize psychological safety in all program activities
- Train participants in connecting personal purpose to mental health resilience
- Create environments where seeking help is viewed as a strength
- Develop stigma-reduction campaigns connected to living with purpose

### Ongoing Mental Health Mentorship
- Provide one-on-one support that connects purpose to mental wellbeing
- Offer regular check-ins focused on holistic development
- Model healthy boundaries and self-care practices
- Create progress tracking systems for mental wellbeing alongside purpose development

## Qualifications

### Education and Experience
- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, or related fields
- Experience with mental health advocacy or peer support programs
- Background in creating psychologically safe environments
- Understanding of how purpose and meaning connect to mental health outcomes

### Skills and Personal Qualities
- Strong commitment to mental health destigmatization
- Excellent ability to discuss mental health topics with sensitivity and openness
- Experience applying purpose-driven frameworks to wellbeing
- Knowledge of appropriate mental health resources and referral procedures
- Commitment to personal mental wellness and self-care practices

## Position Details
- 100% Remote, 100% Flexible working arrangement
- 10-15 hours per week commitment
