Web Development Director
Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc. also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.
Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through 5 core topics: self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting & effective decision-making. We also provide tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, social beings, and overall well-being.
Our mission is to teach SEL tools at every school in the country. Resilience offers unpaid internship programs that require at least a 4-month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours per week and team meetings weekly. Availability must also allow for as-needed meetings/phone calls. There are flexible start and end dates with the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement.
As a Director at Resilience, you will lead a cross-functional team and ensure the successful delivery of project objectives. You will play a key role in supporting and facilitating various activities within the organization.
Daily Expectation
As the Director, your daily expectations will include:
- Proactively engage with the executive team of directors to develop an outstanding and high-performing work environment.
- Oversee the development of Resilience, Inc. by partnering with other leaders, directors, and project managers.
- Conduct weekly meetings to ensure each department is maintained and goals are being achieved, and strategies/plans are being developed in order to pursue the organization’s mission.
- Lead a team in developing apps or software as needed
- Become familiar with and move towards the mission of Resilience, Inc.
- Ensure the development of department projects and tasks.
- Support staff through training, facilitating, and communications.

Requirements:
To fulfill the role successfully, you should meet the following requirements:
- Background of project management or business
- Individuals pursuing an MBA with an interest in becoming a business leader is a plus
- Experience with attracting, developing, and motivating employees, swiftly adapting to change, and developing collaborative relationships with others is preferred.
- Experience in Software Development, Technical Analysis
- Experience with cloud-based systems and services.
- Experience in CSS, HTML, Wordpress, and related softwares
- Be able to work independently, demonstrate reliability and be punctual.
- Pay attention to details.
- Consistently communicate with team members.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.

- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies. - 10-15 hours per week.
