UGC Video Content Intern
We’re seeking a creative, self-motivated UGC (User-Generated Content) Video
Content Intern who loves storytelling, working with kids, and capturing organic,
real-life moments. You’ll help create short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok,
and YouTube Shorts — not as an editor, but as a creator. You’ll shoot and stage
authentic-feeling videos (with provided concepts) and upload raw footage to a
shared cloud folder for our editors to process. This is an unpaid internship that offers a $100 “Thank you” bonus at the completion of the semester.
Key Responsibilities:
●Film UGC-style video content following prompts and creative direction from
our team.
●Stage content with parents and kids (either yourself or hired talent—arranged
with help from our team).
●Use your phone or camera to capture engaging, vertical footage in real-life or
staged environments (home, library, backyard, school, etc.).
●Upload raw footage into our shared Google Drive or Dropbox folder after each
session.
●Brainstorm fun, organic ways to tell stories or teach quick facts through visual
content.
●Keep in touch with the content calendar and weekly video priorities from the
team.
Types of Videos You’ll Help Create:
●Parent POV Reels: e.g., “I used this 1-minute activity to get my kid off the iPad and into a science experiment…”
●Kid Wonder Moments: e.g., capturing a kid reacting to a fun science fact like
“Did you know Saturn could float in water?”
●Unboxing + Exploration: e.g., kids opening a Global Galactics kit and trying
the activity with a parent
●Story Moments: e.g., acting out a scene from The Spark at the Center of the
Universe with voiceover
●Day-in-the-Life: e.g., a 20-second reel showing a family engaging in
awe-driven routines (“Wonder Walk,” “Backyard Stargazing,” “Trash Pickup Challenge”)
What We’re Looking For:
●A creative thinker with a good eye for storytelling and what performs on
TikTok/Instagram
●Comfortable filming on your phone (iPhone 12+ or comparable quality Android
device preferred)
●Experience working with kids or filming family-friendly content
●Ability to follow content directions and hit quick turnaround times
●Detail-oriented when organizing and uploading footage to shared folders
●A positive attitude and passion for sparking curiosity and joy in children
Nice to Have (but not required):
●Acting or staging experience
●Previous experience in a social media content creation role
●Your own access to kids or parents willing to be filmed (with provided consent
forms)
Internship Details:

environment
●Commitment: 5–10 videos per week (30–60 seconds each)
●Compensation: This is an unpaid internship with a $100 “Thank you bonus” at the completion of the semester.
●Duration: 3–6 months with opportunity to extend
