The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Part Time Student Technical - Technical Manufacturing Engineering for JD Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, you will:

 

  • Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.
  • Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
  • Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.
  • Develops plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing.
  • Assists in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans

 

This position is not available to students on immigration visas

 

What Skills You Need

 

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited college/university.
  • Graduation date of May 2026 or later.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
  • Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.
  • Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.
  • If local, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Technology, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering; others may apply.
