Community Relations Internship 2025
The Flint Firebirds are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing group of Community Relations Interns to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in community engagement, event support, and brand representation, making it a perfect opportunity for students or individuals looking to build their resume in sports, public relations, communication, marketing, sales, and or event management.

Responsibilities:
●Represent the Flint Firebirds at community events, parades, fairs, festivals, charity events, golf events, etc. acting as an ambassador for our brand.
● Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events (must be able to lift at least 25 pounds).
●Engage with attendees in a friendly and professional manner. Network across marketing points.
●Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure event success.
●Other duties as assigned to support community relations initiatives.
Requirements:
●Must be located in the Flint and or Genesee County area and have reliable transportation.
●Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be outgoing, friendly, and a team player.
●Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
●Flexible with weather conditions and temperatures in the Summer.
●A passion for community engagement and sports is a plus!
Time Commitment:
●No specific weekly/monthly working hours are required however the ideal candidate must be able to attend a majority of community events. 20+ scheduled for the Summer term, May-September.
●This role can be weekday and even weekend-heavy depending on event schedules as it is Summer event specific.
●Office hours can be made available upon request to fulfill internship requirements.
