Social Impact Lead Intern

Remote Position - College Credit (if needed) - Unpaid

Time Commitment: 12 Months | 6-8 hours/week (Seasonal/Temporary) Flexible schedule based on school requirements.

General Description:

As the Social Impact Manager, you will play a critical role in outreach and growth, cultivating relationships with external businesses and influencers aligned with Digital4Good x #ICANHELP’s mission. This role is uniquely designed for a passionate, proactive individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Duties: 

  • Develop and execute initiatives for positive social change 
  • Establish partnerships with external stakeholders (companies, organizations, influencers) to strengthen initiatives
  • Plan virtual events with ambassadors + partners 
  • Organize and maintain CRM data
  • Measure impact of social impact initiatives and report on progress

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in high school or college.
  • Degree or interest in sociology, public policy, social work, business administration, or a related field. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proficiency in relationship building.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about digital wellness, kindness, and the positive impact of technology.

Learning Objective/Outcomes: 

Upon completion of the internship, students will be able to…

  • Identify and implement best practices for successful event and brand management
  • How to organize influencers and ambassadors
  • Design impactful event marketing campaigns

  • Execute proper Project Management

Evaluation:

  • Impact Management: Work with several teams to organize at least 1 virtual event per month
  • Commitment: Participate in weekly meetings and check-ins (Minimum of 75% attendance)
  • Timeliness and Organization: Track projects and meet all deadlines, or communicate with supervisor before setting new deadlines
  • Brand Integrity: Maintain organization’s brand consistency by using brand voice and designated assets in public-facing communications
  • Engagement: Accumulate points for engaging with organizational social media pages, attending workshops, attending work events, participating in marketing video/photo, filling out survey, and finishing a project/campaign
