Fall 2025 Public Relations Internship

Public Relations Interns at the Media Research Center (MRC) will have the opportunity to work on and learn about actively pitching stories to MRC personalities for TV, radio, and print. The intern will report to the Press Secretary and assist with tracking and clipping media appearances, building reporter lists, and pitching staff from across the MRC brands for media appearances.

 

The Public Relations department at MRC looks for interns that are:

Timeliness and Responsive- PR moves quick, and interns should be ready to keep up with the fast paced environment.

Strong Writing Skills- Writing is the foundation of everything in PR. Interns need to be clear, concise, and persuasive writers.

Interpersonal Communication- Interns do not need to be extroverted but should be comfortable engaging with others in a friendly and professional manner.

Awareness of current events- Interns should be able to speak intelligently about current issues and understand how those stories connect to the MRC mission.

Alignment with MRC's mission- Interns should be excited about the work the MRC is doing!

 

This internship is designed for conservative-minded students and recent graduates. We hire interns during three semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer). The current application is for our Fall internship program. Our internship for the Fall session begins on September 8, 2025 and runs through December 5, 2025.

MRC internship program operates solely in-person, remote work is unavailable.

 

Interns at MRC are paid $14/hr.

 

The Media Research Center is a 501(c)3 research and education organization that has been the nation’s premier media watchdog since 1987. We are committed to neutralizing left-wing bias in the news media and popular culture. We do this through analysis and research (NewsBusters), blogs and video (MRCTV), and a complex grassroots and marketing initiative. Because we are a nonprofit, we are careful about our resources, and one of our greatest resources is a team of interns who are excited to learn and promote our work.
