About the Apprenticeship
This hands-on apprenticeship is perfect for culinary students, recent grads, or career-changers with kitchen experience who are passionate about elevating their skills. Under the guidance of Chef Hill, you’ll learn what it takes to run a high-performing kitchen, from creative menu development to operational excellence. Chef Hill’s culinary journey includes roles as Executive Chef for Aramark at Ford World Headquarters and The Millbrook Inn. Chef Hill was also a key culinary team member at James Beard Nominated BARDA, Yellowstone Club, and an on-set chef for an indie film.
What You’ll Learn:
- Kitchen management and line leadership
- Seasonal and local menu design while working with local farmers directly
- Food prep and plating techniques
- Time and resource management
- Best practices for service and team coordination
- Exposure to wine, cocktail, and food pairings
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for food and hospitality
- Willingness to learn and work hard in a small, fast-paced kitchen
- Basic kitchen or culinary experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Availability for summer or full-time through the end of October
