Legislative Internship (Rep. Farhat) (Volunteer)
The office of State Representative Alabas Farhat is currently looking to fill a volunteer internship position in their Lansing office. Interns will have the opportunity to assist the Member and their staff in general office operations including constituent relations, communications, and monitoring legislation. Selected candidates will gain valuable hands-on office and legislative experience in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be a college student, veteran, or participant in job entry program. Strong applicants will possess a positive attitude, previous office experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, telephone skills, and writing skills. Knowledge of the Legislature is preferred but not required.
Intern work schedules are flexible, with a preference for work Tuesdays-Thursdays when the House is in session. Some travel to the district may be required.
