JOB SUMMARY

Service Desk Attendants in University Housing create a welcoming environment and act as the central location for exchanging information for students and guests. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must have sophomore, junior, or senior class standing or be a graduate student at Oakland University by fall 2025
  • Current cumulative and semester GPA must be 2.5 or higher
  • Must not be found responsible for serious conduct violations
  • The ability to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis for packages and supplies

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Facilitate the check-in/check-out process when residents are moving in and out of their communities
  • Provide accurate campus information and assistance to residents and guests
  • Sort and deliver mail to residents’ mailboxes
  • Sort and handle packages delivered for residents to pick up
  • Loan cleaning equipment such as vacuums to residents
  • Perform administrative duties necessary for efficient building operation

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • $15/hour
