Physician Assistant

Located in Southwest Michigan, we are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing quality health care to the uninsured and underinsured. We are seeking a new full-time Physician Assistant. Provides primary and urgent health care to patients following standards of practice.  Works collaboratively with physicians.  Actively participates as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.  Promotes the mission and philosophy of providing quality health care and related services to the medically underserved. Upholds and ensures compliance with and attention to all corporate policies and procedures, as well as the mission and values of the organization.  

 

What You Will Do 

Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner at all times. 

Maintains the standards of medical care. 

Maintains appropriate continuing education credits as required by licensure and certification. 

Commits to providing excellent customer service.   

Participates in call schedule, if requested, and as agreed upon with collaborating physician(s). 

Provides counseling, anticipatory guidance, education and support to patients and families. 

Provides continuity of care of patients through the care coordination, follow-up and communications with referring professionals/agencies. 

Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

What You Will Bring 

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and eligible for or currently certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in addition to being licensed by the State of Michigan. 

Current licensure as a PA or PA-C in the State of Michigan 

Evidence of professional growth (CEU’s) consistent with licensure requirement for State of Michigan 

BLS Certification 

ACLS recommended 

Federal DEA License
