Position Summary
SUMMARY:
The Digital and IT Development Associate (Digital & IT LDA) is a role that combines the development aspects of Parker’s Leader Development Program (LDP/Program) with the general duties of a Parker Digital and IT Associate. The Digital and IT LDA’s primary duties will involve taking on real-world challenges by leveraging teamwork, knowledge of IT applications, problem-solving abilities, initiative, leadership, project management, and effective communication, incorporating Program aspects to support decision-making processes that will impact our long-term future.
The Program involves rotations where the Leadership Development Associates (LDAs) will work in a variety of roles, in a competitive training and hands-on leadership program designed to provide knowledge, and experience with using their discretion and independent judgment related to their skillsets to support the business. Leadership training and development experiences occur with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision, team leadership, and management. While in program, rotational assignments are structured to expose participants to coaching/mentoring from other professionals from the organization, different business divisions, facilities, and managers nation-wide.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
- Duration: 2 years
- Structure: 3 rotational assignments
- Rotations' length: One year at our global HQ in Mayfield Heights, OH followed by two six-month rotations at any of our locations throughout the U.S.
- Relocation requirements: The assignments will likely require relocation. Geographic flexibility is required during the program

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In addition to various leadership development activities and tasks related to the Program, the LDA will perform direct responsibilities related to the rotational assignment, depending on the track.
Parker’s Digital & IT Leadership Development Associate Program offers three technical tracks (Analytics, Cyber Security, and SAP). The following essential functions are common among all tracks:
- Cultivate relationships across all levels of the organization to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Demonstrate effective time management and strategic planning to meet project deadlines.
- Analyze the impact of system outages on business operations and develop contingency strategies.
- Actively seek opportunities for process improvement and provide constructive feedback.
- Experiment with innovative approaches to problem-solving and results delivery.
- Exhibit sound decision-making skills by evaluating technologies and process solutions.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impacts.
- Seek out and propose new technologies and methodologies to enhance Parker’s digital capabilities.
- Apply analytical thinking to navigate complex challenges effectively.
- Ability to work across functions to drive meaningful change within the organization.
Analytics Track
The Analytics Track will accelerate your learning in data analysis and business intelligence, equipping you with the skills necessary to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Develop and present data visualizations and reports to stakeholders to facilitate strategic planning.
- Utilize statistical methods and data modeling techniques to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Participate in the implementation of analytics tools and technologies to improve data accessibility.
Cyber Security Track
The Cyber Security Track focuses on protecting Parker’s information assets and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential infrastructure threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams to monitor security incidents and respond to breaches or threats effectively.
- Participate in security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity.
- Research the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems.
SAP Track
The SAP Track will provide you with experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, focusing on SAP solutions to enhance business processes.
- Assist in the configuration, implementation, and support of SAP modules to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure SAP solutions meet quality standards.
- Provide training and support to end-users on SAP functionalities and best practices.
- Analyze business processes and recommend SAP-driven improvements to increase efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area
- Graduation before June 2026
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Relevant experience gained through internship or co-op opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; project management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability.
- Must be willing and able to relocate.
COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:
- Pay Range: $60,600/annually to $115,000/annually reflecting variations based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
