Taiyaki turns your sketches, photos, and memories into real, custom-made jewelry - crafted in sterling silver, gold vermeil, or 14k gold. We use AI, CAD, and advanced manufacturing to turn personal ideas into precious objects.

Founded by two Stanford engineers who worked on the internal electronics of iPads and hold patents in novel materials that have won Apple Design of the Year awards, Taiyaki blends deep engineering with emotional storytelling, bringing personalization into the real world.

We’re backed by a16z Speedrun and building a new kind of design + manufacturing company from the ground up.

The Role

We’re hiring a summer intern to grow Taiyaki’s presence on TikTok and Instagram. You’ll create short-form video content that shows how Taiyaki works, tells the stories behind real pieces, and makes people feel something.

You’ll have creative control, fast feedback loops, and direct access to the founders. It’s a chance to help shape a brand, not just post for one.

What You’ll Do

Create and post 10+ TikToks/Reels per week

Film yourself or direct others — either works

Show the journey from photo → sketch → 3D → gold

Tell emotional stories behind customer creations

Use trends and original ideas to build awareness

Test fast, learn from feedback, and iterate

What We’re Looking For

Experience creating TikToks or Reels (personal or brand)

Great visual taste and editing instincts

Understanding of what makes something go viral (hooks, pacing, emotion)

Self-starter, fast learner, comfortable with feedback

Data-driven 

Someone who moves fast, iterates often, and loves the craft

Bonus if you’ve:

Used CAD tools (Fusion, SolidWorks, Rhino, etc.)

3D printed or fabricated anything

Worked with jewelry, metal, or physical materials

Used AI tools to speed up content creation

💰 Compensation

$20 per published video

Minimum 10 videos/week

Bonuses for high-performing content

Internship runs 8–12 weeks (Summer 2025)

SF or LA preferred — we like filming in person
