Good projects, very open to interns and good supportive culture
What I wish was different
Hard to get a good view of the floor without significant legwork networking
Advice
This is a "sorority rush" experience. Get ready to talk to EVERYONE—and I mean EVERYONE (all 500+) in the NY office by the end of the summer.

Global Markets Summer Analyst
June - August 2020 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I had the opportunity to network and meet so many incredible people at BNP Paribas. Everyone was more than willing to answer any and all questions I had from career questions to market specific questions. I was able to learn a great deal about markets across a number of different desks.
What I wish was different
Having the internship virtually was not ideal and created considerable difficulties, but BNP was still able to create a valuable internship experience for the summer analysts.

Summer Analyst Intern- Transversal Operation Permanent Control
June - August 2023 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I loved the culture of the bank and how easy it is to connect with teams through the bank as well as other interns. BNP invests in their interns by creating social events, weekly speaker series, and a one week comprehensive training program. The people in the bank are the most genuine and kind people I have ever met and the connections that I have made will last long after my internship.
What I wish was different
I wished there would be more scheduled opportunities on exploring different departments within the bank once you are in the role.
Advice
During training, it is very overwhelming trying to connect and socialize with everyone of the interns. Try to reach out before the training and plan on meeting the interns in the same/similar role as you as well as interns who attend the same college.

Technology Analyst Intern
June - August 2023 • Jersey City, NJ
What I liked
Very welcoming/supportive environment. You are not expected to know everything, and your coworkers will do a great job of assisting you and teaching you how to excel at your position. They were also very accommodating, offering a hybrid intern experience.
What I wish was different
Nothing, it was great!
Advice
Ask a lot of questions, and talk to as many people as you can outside of your team/manager. It is so valuable to learn about different aspects of the bank.
