I loved the location. It was the most beautiful camp and was in a small town. The camp was positioned about half a mile past an airport with the worlds best hot air balloonist. There were also Olympic skiers that practiced on the lake every now and again. Having the opportunity to build the archery program for the camp community of more than 300 people was a great experience.
What I wish was different
I wish the camp had more opportunities for staff development. We did not get to leave camp grounds due to COVID and we were in a COVID bubble. I wish we could have gone and explored the surrounding area of New Hampshire.
Advice
Be comfortable with seeking discomfort and traveling away from home.

What I liked
It is a very welcoming environment that challenged me to grow within my leadership skills, my communication skills, and being a team player.
What I wish was different
I got paid more.
Advice
Try it for at least one summer! I think working at a summer camp makes people very versatile and ready for any job that gets thrown at them. I learned a lot about myself and the people I worked with as well as what kind of a future I want to live.
