Jess has created such a welcoming and fun environment for her interns where we are encouraged to share ideas and collaborate with others. We have the opportunity to work on a wide array of projects that we are interested in which provides a well-rounded introduction to working in the fashion industry. Additionally, Jess is incredibly organized which is so helpful for the interns.

What I wish was different

Nothing!

Advice

I suggest that interns go into this position ready to collaborate and not be afraid to volunteer / ask to work on specific projects that interest them in order to get the best overall experience!

What I liked

So far my experience as an intern a JBIER has been nothing like I expected! The environment here is amazing. everyone is so willing to help and do whatever task is at hand. Jess has created such an amazing company and works so hard her personality is bubbly and kind. Everyone is so dedicated to making this experience so knowable and helpful for my career! I am so looking forward to my time at JBIER!

What I wish was different

Nothing! Everything throughout this process has been helpful and everyone is willing to take the time to answer and all questions I may have!

Advice

Just be open to any and all ideas someone may have! Don't be afraid to share any ideas with the team. This is a position where you can really be creative!

What I liked

Jess created an environment that made all employees feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. In this position I am able to help out on different projects that I am interested in. I feel as though this increased the quality of the work I submit because I am so passionate about each task.

Jess is a very hands-on boss, which is amazing to be able to fully learn about the industry, and is someone who is an amazing mentor. The environment of this job is very collaborative, letting you soak up a lot of different experiences of the fashion and social media industry. This internship is a great way to get your foot in the door, preparing and setting yourself up for a job after this experience!!

I love the collaborative environment. Although the internship is remote, I am able to work on projects with my fellow interns just as I would in person.

I wish I did not live so far away from the other interns and Jess!

Do not be afraid to try new things! During this internship, you will have the opportunity to help out with different projects with different teams. Go for it!

What I liked

Being an intern at JBIER I have loved working with an extremely collaborative and creative team. Working with a startup fashion company, the skills that I have learned I feel will be deeply valuable when I enter the fashion industry post grad. I have also really enjoyed expanding my leadership skills, while working directly with Founder of JBIER, Jessica Bierman.

What I liked

The interview process made me feel very comfortable, and was not as stressful as I thought it would be. Jess makes everyone feel welcomed to the work environment, and allows us to jump on different tasks if we want to work in another field!

Don't be afraid to ask questions, and do not feel overwhelmed by the amount of work there may be. Everyone in the group was so helpful and allowed me to do my work easily with little doubt.

What I liked

JBIER is a great company with such an amazing environment. The founder and fellow interns are all so welcoming and make sure to make you feel comfortable and motivated to work. Through JBIER I am able to pursue a position in a field I love and also learn new things along the way. JBIER is a place where all ideas and creative perspectives are welcome and it honestly makes so much more fun to finish our tasks and work. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

What I liked

The founder of JBIER, Jess Bierman, is one of the most caring and driven people that I have ever met. She has created a job environment that makes you want to get up and work everyday. Everyone at JBIER is so passionate about what they do and are always there to help each other. It truly is a family.

One thing that I wish had been different is the fact that this internship is fully remote and that we can not meet in person.
