Social Media Marketing Intern

May 2022 • New York City, NY

What I liked

I really enjoyed working in a team environment and being able to freely communicate whenever I needed assistance or simply wanted another opinion on any of the content I worked on.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been able to communicate more with other members who weren't part of the social team. Everyone has their own unique skills and I would have loved to be able to meet other people in different teams with a completely different skill set from my own.

Advice

If you're looking for a good experience for the resume, then I would definitely recommend. Challenging at times but that was part of what made this experience so fun to begin with. I also absolutely loved the team I worked with and I hope to be able to continue to build on those relationships.

Intern

July - September 2022 • Tucson, AZ

What I liked

What I wish was different

The manager was all over the place and always off topic. I would say the only time that anything was productive was during team meetings. Instructions for projects were not clear and changed almost daily. Nothing was organized at all. I put my all into this internship, worked overtime to complete work, went the extra mile to help with extra events when I was not scheduled on the clock for. With that I now cannot even access the work that I had done for the company because they have taken my access to it away, even though it was original work produced by me. I wish that this experience was more enjoyable for me and allowed me to gain new knowledge. I have worked for startup fashion companies before and have never experienced anything nearly this unorganized and unprofessional before.

Project Management Intern

April 2022 • New York City, NY

What I liked

Working at JBIER has been an amazing experience that has allowed me to explore myself, my interests, and my career. I applied to work at JBIER in the hopes of earning internship experience in the fashion world, and the company has gone above and beyond in giving me a hands-on space to learn about retail and e-commerce. At JBIER I felt like more than an intern, operating in an environment where my ideas were valued and implemented. The Project Management Team has taught me to collaborate productively in a fast-paced startup with an array of goals and initiatives. The JBIER team as a whole has played a key role in all that I have learned at JBIER>
