There were lots of opportunities for independent projects. I got to work with multiple divisions which gave me a range of work experience.
What I wish was different
Some data collection processes are repetitive and monotonous.
Advice
Any kind of experience is valuable even if it doesn't directly pertain to your major or curriculum. Most professional skills can be applied in multiple fields.

What I liked
Friendly atmosphere
I was treated like a colleague and was given the freedom to independently accomplish tasks
My ideas were valued and feedback was always provided
I was included in as many relevant events as possible
What I wish was different
There was a lot of time in between assigned projects where you were expected to keep yourself busy.
Though my department was welcoming, I didn't feel they were prepared to receive me on my first day.
Advice
You have a lot of time in between assigned projects, so reflect on what you personally want to come out of this internship with and make sure to use the empty pockets of time to work toward your goals and implement your ideas. Go to all the meetings you can. Network with everyone in the office. If you have an idea, share it.
