Office environment isn't the most high tech and some people have trouble finding good projects.

The pay was nice. It was easy enough to do and they helped me all along the way.

It's just hard to get in the door and have all the security privileges. If getting access faster.

Earlier signup the better. all there intern spots were filled by November. i got the job because I knew a higher up and he already knew my work strategies.

What I liked

LA is a fun city, although El Segundo is pretty south of the city.

What I wish was different

I wish interns had legitimate work to do. I wasn't give any real projects and my manager was not helpful. Most interns aren't given any security clearance, so 80% of the projects are immediately inaccessible.

Advice

Don't intern here if you're ambitious and want to be challenged. It's a better place for job security and slow comfortable living.

What I liked

Learning about the many things the company works on was an enriching experience. Be able to work with my ambassador and other interns was also a plus to me. Many people also knew me through my father so alot of coworkers also taught me technical experience in their field of expertise.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to take more classes to learn more about the company's workshops and other work opportunities in the company.

I would say to go out there and ask questions. You never know the tips and tricks you can learn from a coworker who has been in the company for years.

The company allowed me to experience a vareity of different aspects of their day to day operations which helped me gain true insight on life as an employee. I was able to shadow multiple members of my team and learned a lot about supply chian My manager gave me several large projects that spanned the entirety of my internship and allowed me to develop professional skills

Real engineering work; not stereotypical "intern" duties; was responsible for my own project and seeing it get completed at the end

Advice

Even though you are used to spending hours at school and then doing homework after, it's nothing like going to work for 8-10 hours a day. Prepare yourself for being away from home and busy the full day.
